Standard laboratory examination
The female hormone test is an additional test to our standard laboratory test. If you choose an additional examination, you will book it in combination with a standard laboratory examination. The laboratory examination provides important information about your health situation. Blood values, liver and kidney function, any risk factors for cardiovascular disease and tumor markers are charted. In addition, the overall composition of your blood, or blood count, is examined.
Female hormones
Five major female hormones are: FSH, LH, prolactin, estradiol and progesterone. FSH and LH affect ovulation and follicle growth. Prolactin affects the mammary glands and is able to inhibit the release of LH, FSH, and estrogen so that the cycle runs naturally. Estradiol is the female sex hormone and progesterone plays a role in the development of the endometrium.
Reasons
