Prescan StatisticsStatistics Through our coordination, 622 patients were examined in succession, whereof 312 were examined with a Total Body Scan. Only the data from the Total Body Scan were used. These figures are European figures and Prescan UK figures may vary. In a Total Total Scan, the following examinations are carried out: - CT-Lungs
- CT-Heart
- MRI Head and Blood Vessels
- MRI Blod supplying veins
- MRI Upper Abdomen
- MRI Lower Abdomen
Other Total Body Scan examinations (e.g. blood examinations, ECG, joint and intestinal examinations) are not included in the statistics. The 312 individuals examined consisted of 220 men (70.5%) and 92 women (29.5%), categorised in accordance with their age group:

312 | In the area of abdomen and pelvis, enlargements of the prostate in men were noticed most of all ( 8.2%). In the gynocological area, numerous ovarian cysts, and cysts of the uterus were found. Cysts of the kidneys and liver have been noticed in both genders much more frequently, but because of their harmless nature, the number is not mentioned.
Examination results men ( Upper abdomen and pelvis) In order to simplify the overview of the graphics, the category "no abnormalities" has not been included.
In Conclusion Until July 2004 physicians have noted that 23 malignant tumors have been found through all examinations - including Total Body Scan and single scan examinations - in the hospitals of Rheine (FRG) and Bottrop (FRG). The physicians have come to the conclusion that almost all tumors were still treatable. In addition, 226 blood vessel calcifications with a calcium score of over 400 were found in the vessels surrounding the heart, which indicate coronary disease. For some of the patients, an operation was necessary to prevent heart attacs. It emerged that in Total Body Scans, approximately 9% of the examined patients turned up some sort of disorder.
