Recurrent questions (FAQ)

The following are some of Prescans Frequently Asked Questions:

Question:

If, during the examinations nothing is found, can I be sure that I am completely healthy?

Answer:No one in health care can give you 100% certainty. The examinations do give an extensive and accurate picture of your state of health at that time. The MRI- and CT-Scan technologies at present are capable of making the internal structures clearly visible from an external position. In this way we make the brain, structures of blood vessels, abdominal organs and joints clearly visible in a simple yet effective manner.

During the examinations various techniques are used and several specialists analyze the results from their field of specialization. In this way the doctors are able to make a correct diagnosis. Possible illnesses can then be detected while still in an early stage, which noticeably increases the chances of healing or stabilization.

It is senseless to haphazardly scan the whole body. The programme that Prescan offers is very specific and conforms to the latest recommendations of The Vienna Medical Scientific Board.

Preventive examination is always a ‘spot-check’.
